What is the best route to take from Mass. to Cape Hatteras?

George Washington Bridge. I live down in Hatteras and I've gone up your way literally more than 20 times and that route is the best way to go. It might be congested at rush hour but that is completely normal. For you traveling at night should make conditions a little better. I would take 95 down to Richmond and get off on 295 and get on to 64 east and take that down to Norfolk then get off onto highway 168 to take you down to the OBX. Take highway 12 all the way down and your in Hatteras!
