Does the Bible truly say slavery is OK?

Well the old testament has laws for that society on how to keep slaves, the new testament gives moral conduct for the slave to be good to their master no matter what. So yes the bible does allow for slavery however we have said as a modern society that slavery is wrong. You should check out the passages and don't forget to do a concordance search for slave in the new testament to have a full picture of what scripture says.
