Period on vacation with my DAD ?!?

okay so on the 24 im going to cape cod fishing with my dad (i obviously wont go swimming..) but i havent gotten it yet and im do soon..im just worried about sharing a bathroom with my dad and i was wondering how i could deal with it with him ? i only wear pads, i tried tampons once but it was uncomfortable and it hurt when i took it out..is that normal ? and how could i change/take pads with me FISHING ?! should i just get the night pads and wear them in the day? help please .. ? (im 13)
