How to connect to xbox live without a router?

I have a cape house for the summer and I can't connect to xbox live. I have no router. Is there anything I can buy to get xbox live? Perhaps a wireless usb port to connect to my computer and then buy a wireless network adapter for my xbox 360. Will I be able to play online if I get this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
